low visibility but free

Death of RBG, chaotic debate and now Trump with Covid, it seems that we could never get a “break”, one big news after another, not all good ones.

Went boating this morning to get some “fresh air”(literally) and “spiced” up our Covid life. Between the morning fog and the smog (the Air Quality index was over 100 this morning), the visibility was low. It was difficult to navigate and see what was coming our way. Yet we knew where we were (based on GPS) just that we were not sure where we were going. Funny that this coincides how I have been feeling lately, in general.

Once we were in the open water, we went full speed at 40 miles an hour. How exhilarating! Wave breaking behind us and I could feel the wind blowing through my face. No Covid, no mask, no social distancing, I feel free! Paradoxically. Feeling free in the midst of uncertainly. Perhaps it’s more of a question of my own sanity. Who knows! Or maybe I am gaslighting myself?

Hard to distinguish fake and true these days. All mashed up and murky just like the air and everything else.
