Settling in...

snow-capped San Gabriel Mountains

I rarely go up to the terrace. Only once in a while when we have visitors.

It has been raining so much lately (the four-year drought of California has finally got its relief) that every breathe of air has reminded me of the winter in VAN (the ultimate rain city). And to my surprise, when I went up the terrace this morning, the San Gabriel Mountains was snow-capped. It was rather pretty - such a beautiful backdrop with the teeny-tiny downtown skyscrapers on the side. Because most time, when I come up here, it is just a layer of yellow smog.

I suppose it is like any other city, L.A. sort of grows on me when I have finally settled in.
