It’s probably one of the most celebrated holidays here: La Diada de Sant Jordi, the Catalonian version of Valentine’s Day. Instead of chocolate and roses, the streets are packed with bookstands and rose vendors. Men give their mujeres roses and women give their novios a book. It’s not just for lovers, family and friends also give each other books and roses as well. Isn’t it lovely? A perfect sunny day! Could not help myself wearing a huge smile walking by the hundreds of stands of roses…Love is in the air!
